My MIL Insisted on Babysitting My Daughter Every Wednesday While I Was at Work — I Installed a Hidden Camera After My Daughter Started Behaving Strangely

MY DAUGHTER STARTED AVOIDING ME—A HIDDEN CAMERA REVEALED WHY

Cheryl, my mother-in-law, had always been overbearing. But when she offered to babysit my daughter, Beverly, every Wednesday, I thought it was a blessing in disguise.

Saving money on daycare? Letting them bond? It sounded perfect.

At first, everything seemed fine. Beverly always came home happy. But then… something changed.

She became distant. She’d flinch when I touched her hair, avoid sitting next to me, and **refuse to eat dinner if I was at the table.**

Then came the strange comments:

*”I only want to eat with Dad, Grandma, and her friend.”*

*”I love Grandma’s friend so much!”*

When I asked Cheryl about it, she **laughed it off.** “Oh, you know how kids are. She just makes things up!”

But Beverly wasn’t a liar.

And then… she stopped telling me she loved me.

That was my breaking point.

So, I did something I **never** thought I’d do—I installed a hidden camera in our living room.

**Wednesday came.**

During my lunch break, I checked the footage.

At first, everything seemed normal. Beverly played with her toys while Cheryl sat nearby, chatting about the weather.

Then, Cheryl turned to my daughter and **said something that made my stomach drop.**

**”Bev, are you ready? OUR friend will be here any minute now!”**

**”Yes, Grandma. I love her so much!”**

**”But do you remember our agreement?”**

**”Yes. NO WORD TO MOM.”**

My hands turned ice cold.

Who was this “friend”? And why was my daughter being told to keep secrets from me?

I **didn’t** have to wait long for the answer.

The doorbell rang.

Cheryl got up to answer it.

And then—**my blood ran cold.**

**Because the woman who walked in… was my husband’s ex-wife.**

The woman who had **disappeared years ago.**

The woman who was **supposed to be out of our lives forever.**
