Grandmother Captures Last Photo Of Three-Year-Old Granddaughter Just Minutes Before Tragic Death

A sad family is sharing the last “happy” picture of their three-year-old daughter, who died just minutes after the picture was taken while they were out for a walk in the country.

A family is sad about the death of a three-year-old girl and has shared what they call her last “happy” photo, which was taken just before she was killed by a hit-and-run driver.

The touching picture was taken by the child’s grandmother and went viral on TikTok after the girl’s mother shared it.

Sarah Jensen told her followers, “My mom took this picture at 4:47 pm, and my daughter died at 4:52 pm.” “My mom didn’t know she was taking pictures of the last moments of her life.” The thought of what’s next breaks my heart. This one is really hard for me to look at.

Jensen, the children’s mother, told People magazine that she was at a wedding when the terrible event in Oldtown, Idaho happened. Her two young children, Scarlett and Henry, who is two years old, were with their grandmother Jamie at the time, she said.

“That afternoon they went to get ice cream and enjoy a walk together,” said Jensen. She wanted to get out of the stroller to pick flowers when they got home and pulled into our back driveway. That’s when my mom took the last picture of her alive that I have.

For the Mirror US, Jensen said that the family was walking in their private driveway when a Chevy Tahoe came hurtling down the road and hit all three of them.

“My mom was yelling and waving her hands for him to stop. She tried to grab my kids and move them out of the way, but he was moving too fast.” “Scarlett died almost right away, and my mom and Henry were seriously hurt,” Jensen said.

KHQ, a local NBC affiliate, said the car quickly left the scene of the crime but was caught by police a few miles away. The station also said that Henry and his grandmother were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital right away, and the toddler was put in the PICU.

After a while, KHQ said that the boy had been moved from the PICU to another part of the hospital. It was said that Jamie broke his shoulder in the accident.

“It is a blessing we had Scarlett. She had the perfect life, just being surrounded and full of love every day,” Scarlett’s grandfather, Jim Patton, told the news source about his granddaughter. “So full of life and love, a piece of my soul is gone.” “She is so smart.”

Patton said the kid had just started school and was making new friends all the time. The sad grandfather also said that she was excited to play soccer on Saturday because she had scored a goal in a game last week.

Patton said that the only thing he can do now is pray that his grandson gets better. Patrick said, “He’s a tough boy.”

Staff at the hospital say the boy was turned in with eight broken ribs, a fractured spine, a broken clavicle, a broken jaw, and other injuries. “Henry spent a week in the PICU before he was stable enough to come home, and he had a full body brace on for 10 weeks,” Jensen said.

The woman said it took Jamie weeks to realize that the picture she took right before the accident was the last one she had of her granddaughter alive. “My mum lost her phone when they were hit and it took us a while to find it, so when we finally did I was going through pictures and found that one,” said Jensen.

“I looked at the timestamp and realized it was only five minutes before her declared time of death, so it must have been taken seconds before the person hit them.”

The driver of the car was caught and identified as a 23-year-old from Newport. After getting hurt, the driver was taken to the hospital. Jensen says that the man is now in prison for 10 years, with two years added for time served. A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for her funeral since she died.
