“Roberto Cavalli’s Company Confirms His Passing at 83”

The self-titled fashion company of Roberto Cavalli announced his passing with great sadness on Instagram last Friday. Cavalli, born in Florence, Italy in 1940, founded his iconic fashion brand in 1975, gaining worldwide acclaim for his patented animal print styling. Over the years, Cavalli dressed numerous celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Bella Hadid, Kali Uchis, Zendaya, Emily Ratajkowski, and many more.

In recent years, Cavalli’s personal life made headlines as well. After two previous marriages, he began dating model Sandra Nilsson in 2014, who is 45 years his junior. Sandra gave birth to their child, Cavalli’s sixth, just last year.

Known for his extravagant lifestyle, Cavalli indulged in luxury items such as Ferraris, cigars, fine clothes, and notably, a stylish purple helicopter.
