Business Class Passengers Mock Poor Old Lady, at the End of the Flight Pilot Addresses Her

“I don’t want to sit next to that… woman!” Franklin Delaney almost yelled at the flight attendant who told him this old woman was seated next to him.

“Sir, this is her seat. We can’t do anything about it,” the stewardess said gently, trying to persuade the mean businessman.

“That can’t be true. These seats are way too expensive, and she couldn’t possibly afford one! Look at her clothes!” Franklin almost yelled, pointing at the older woman’s clothes. She was ashamed.

Other passengers in business class turned to look at them, agreeing with the businessman. “Yeah, I think she should go away! Now!” another man said. The scene continued, delaying the filling of the plane. They even showed him her boarding pass, and a few other flight attendants tried to calm Franklin down too.

“It’s okay. If there’s another seat in economy, I’ll stay there. I spent all my savings on this seat, but it would be better this way,” the old lady said gently, looking down in shame.

“No, ma’am!” she heard and looked up. A man in a well-tailored suit stood up from his seat a few rows back and walked towards them.

“What’s going on here?” he asked the flight attendant.

“This gentleman is refusing to sit next to this lady,” the stewardess explained.

The man turned to Franklin. “Is there a problem with the seat or the passenger?”

Franklin scoffed. “I paid for business class, not to sit next to someone who clearly doesn’t belong here.”

The man smiled, but his eyes were stern. “I see. Well, sir, if you can’t appreciate the company of all our passengers, perhaps you’d prefer to sit in economy yourself.”

Franklin’s face turned red with anger. “How dare you!”

“I dare because I own this airline,” the man said calmly. “My name is James Anderson, and I built this company to treat every customer with dignity and respect, regardless of their background.”

Franklin’s mouth dropped open, and he fell silent.

James turned to the older woman. “Ma’am, I apologize for this inconvenience. Please, take your seat. And if there’s anything you need during the flight, let me know personally.”

The woman smiled gratefully. “Thank you, Mr. Anderson. That’s very kind of you.”

James nodded and addressed the flight attendants. “Please make sure this lady is comfortable and receives the best service we can offer.”

The flight attendants quickly ushered Franklin to an economy seat, ignoring his protests. As he settled in, the other passengers in economy class stared at him, whispering about the commotion he caused.

Back in business class, the old woman took her seat, relieved and grateful. James returned to his seat, and the plane finally took off.

Throughout the flight, the old woman received exceptional service, and many passengers, having witnessed the incident, went out of their way to be kind to her. She chatted with James, who listened to her stories and shared a few of his own.

As they landed and disembarked, James shook her hand warmly. “Thank you for flying with us, ma’am. I hope you’ll travel with us again.”

She smiled. “Thank you, Mr. Anderson. You made this trip unforgettable.”

Franklin, meanwhile, slipped out of the plane as quickly as he could, avoiding eye contact with everyone. His experience was a stark reminder that respect and kindness should always come first, regardless of someone’s appearance or circumstances.
