Widow of Man Killed at Pennsylvania Rally Shares Phone Call with Donald Trump

The widow of Corey Comperatore, the man tragically killed at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, has recently opened up about her phone call with Donald Trump. The incident, which shocked the nation, occurred when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire, targeting the Republican candidate, President Donald Trump. Although President Trump narrowly avoided serious injury, one rally-goer lost his life and two others were seriously injured.

Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old volunteer fire chief from Sarver, Pennsylvania, sacrificed his own life to protect his family during the shooting. His daughter, Allyson, shared an emotional tribute on social media, expressing her gratitude for her father’s heroic actions. Corey’s heroic act was described as taking a “real bullet” for his loved ones.

Recently, Helen Comperatore, Corey’s widow, disclosed that she received a phone call from former President Donald Trump. “He was very kind and said he would continue to call me in the days and weeks ahead,” revealed Helen in a Facebook post. She further expressed her belief that her husband’s death was not in vain and emphasized his heroism, stating “He left this world a hero and God welcomed him in.“

In contrast to her conversation with Donald Trump, Helen declined a call from President Joe Biden following her husband’s untimely demise. “I didn’t talk to Biden,” Helen mentioned, adding that her husband was a devoted Republican, and it was unlikely he would have wanted her to speak with Biden.

While Helen does not hold ill will towards President Biden and supports former President Trump, she holds the 20-year-old shooter responsible for her husband’s death. “He didn’t do anything bad to my husband. A 20-year-old despicable kid did,” she stated.

The Comperatore family attended the Trump rally as a day of excitement and support for the former president. Corey’s last words were reportedly “Get down,” as he heroically shielded his family from the gunfire.

President Joe Biden, speaking from the White House, extended his condolences to the Comperatore family, acknowledging Corey as a father who lost his life while protecting his loved ones. He stated, “He was protecting his family from the bullets that were being fired, and he lost his life. God love him.“
