A Couple Was Giving Each Other The Silent Treatment

A couple was experiencing difficulties in their relationship and had chosen to communicate with each other through silence ( silent treatment therapy). All of a sudden, the man realized that his wife would have to wake him up at 5 AM the next day for an early business trip. Not wanting to be the first person to break silence (and lose), he wrote on a piece of paper, “Please wake me up at 5 AM.”

He intentionally placed it in a spot he knew she was going to see. When the man woke up the next morning, he realized with horror that it was already 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Angry, he was on his way of investigating why his wife hadn’t woken him up when he spotted a note next to the bed. The paper said, “It is 5:00 AM. Wake up.” It’s clear that such competitions are not meant for men.
