As a result of an unexpected shake-up in the British royal circle, Prince William has reportedly fired a key figure from his payment system – a man with close ties to Queen Camilla and King Charles III.
It is reported that Prince William has excluded Annabel Elliott, the sister of Queen Camilla, from the payment system of the Duchy of Cornwall, surprising netizens. As reported by The Telegraph on July 24, Annabel has been the interior designer of the estate since 2005, working under the guidance of King Charles III on various royal properties.
The 75-year-old interior designer’s departure is due to the fact that William is beginning to shape the management of the estate in his own way. Duchy’s latest reports show that she was not paid for her services in 2023-2024, marking the end of almost two decades of work.
The report repeated a statement from the Duchy’s annual report for 2024, which described the last six months of Charles’s management of the estate and William’s first six months after he inherited it after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
