The Prince of Wales has received a new honorary title from the King of England. King Charles III awarded the title at a time when his second son, Prince Harry, is coming to the UK for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
This week turned out to be eventful for the British royal family. Yesterday, the media reported that King Charles III is going to appoint his eldest son, Prince William, commander-in-chief of the air force. The announcement was made through Buckingham Palace.
According to reports, the official transfer date is set for May 13 and will take place at the Army Aviation Center in Middle Wallop.
“In August 2023, after His Majesty’s accession to the throne, the King was pleased to announce military appointments, including that the Prince of Wales would become Commander-in-Chief of the Army Aviation Corps. Previously, this position was held for 31 years by His Majesty the King as Prince of Wales,” the palace said in a statement.
