The incident happened on Sunday, June 23, on the evening of Anne’s estate in Gloucestershire, during a walk in Gatcombe Park. Emergency services arrived shortly after, and after providing first aid, the princess was transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for appropriate tests, treatment, and observation. The exact cause of her injuries has not been confirmed, but Anna’s medical team said her head injuries were consistent with getting kicked by a horse.
Even though Princess Anne was released from the hospital and reassured her fans that she was fine and dandy, according to the experts, the injury could be much more serious than the official sources reported, given her age. Without skipping a beat or taking a much-needed vacation, she jumped right back to business after leaving the hospital less than two weeks later.
You’ve probably seen her at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, too, as Princess Anne is the President of the British Olympic Association, not to mention a member of the International Olympic Committee. The sad part is that Anne was visibly “out of it,” leading to many fans speculating on whether she actually recovered from that horse bonk.
