“Excuse me, young man, can you help me?” I asked politely.<\/p>\n
Without taking his eyes off his phone and with the most annoyed tone of voice possible, he snapped, “WHAT DO YOU WANT?”<\/p>\n
Taken aback by his rudeness, I said, “There’s no need to be rude. I just need help finding a wedding dress. I’m due to get married this…”
\nHe interrupted me with a dismissive sneer, “LISTEN, GRANDMA. Let me make it a little easier for you, okay? Looking at your outfit, I can already tell you can’t afford anything here. There’s a used dress store a couple of blocks from here. I’m sure they can help you out.”
\nJust then, a young, richly dressed girl walked into the store, and this salesman changed his facial expression to the most friendly possible and immediately ran to serve her. I stood there holding back tears, humiliated and heartbroken.<\/p>\n
But this salesman did not know who I was, and SOON KARMA HIT HIM HARD.<\/p>\n
That evening, I shared my experience with my fianc\u00e9, Edward. He was furious and insisted that I report the incident to the owner of the store. Reluctantly, I agreed. We called the store owner, Mr. Harrington, and arranged a meeting for the next day.<\/p>\n
When we arrived at the store, Mr. Harrington greeted us warmly. Edward introduced himself and explained the situation. As he spoke, I saw the color drain from the salesman’s face as he realized who we were. I felt a mix of relief and joy as I browsed through the beautiful dresses. Eventually, I found the perfect one, a stunning gown that made me feel like a queen. As I stood in front of the mirror, tears of happiness streamed down my face.<\/p>\n
Mr. Harrington personally attended to me, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Meanwhile, the rude salesman was called into Mr. Harrington’s office. Through the glass walls, I could see him getting a stern talking-to, and then he was escorted out of the store by security. He had lost his job.<\/p>\n
Word of the incident spread quickly, and many of Edward’s influential friends and business associates vowed never to shop there again. The store\u2019s reputation took a significant hit, and Mr. Harrington made changes to ensure that such an incident would never happen again.<\/p>\n
On our wedding day, as I walked down the aisle in my beautiful dress, I felt grateful for the love and support of Edward and proud of standing up for myself.
