<\/p>\nBrooke Mills is excited to take a \u201cfirst day of school\u201d picture at the start of each new school year, just like a lot of other students.<\/p>\n
On the first day of seventh grade, she and her mom went outside to take a picture.<\/p>\n
A stranger came up to Mills and her mother while they were outside taking pictures by a tree.<\/p>\n
Several pictures had already been taken, and everything looked great. Then Mills\u2019 mother saw her son.<\/p>\n
\u201cI looked more closely and saw what was there,\u201d the girl\u2019s mother, Joy Mills, told The Dodo.<\/p>\n
As the seventh grader preened, there was a snake lying on the tree trunk and looking right at her.<\/p>\n

She didn\u2019t understand at first why Mills\u2019 mom told her to go over to her right away.<\/p>\n
Mills didn\u2019t find out about the snake in the picture until she was away from the tree and safe. Her mother didn\u2019t want to scare her.<\/p>\n
She didn\u2019t know she was sharing her happiness with a stranger.<\/p>\n
Mills said, \u201cShe couldn\u2019t say anything when she realized what was behind her.\u201d \u201cWhen we saw the pictures on my phone, we couldn\u2019t believe how close he was and we had no idea.\u201d<\/p>\n
It seems the snake wanted some of the attention Mills was getting and decided to get it himself.<\/p>\n
Thanks to a nice snake, Mills will have the best back-to-school pictures and story in her clas<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
