Maybe this uncertainty is more of a source of conflict than the right parenting style. It is increasingly typical to come across internet forums where people fight vehemently over how to raise their kids.<\/p>\n

Whatever the case, a mother who was caught pulling her infant kid through an airport by a leash around his chest became embroiled in a furor of scandal. The 2019 event was captured on video and uploaded to TikTok, sparking an intense debate among online users.<\/p>\n
If you\u2019re a parent, you\u2019ve probably had to deal with situations when your child has tried to test your tolerance.<\/p>\n
Each of us handles these situations differently, and I don\u2019t think any of us can genuinely claim to have handled them flawlessly every time. Most of the time, we behave in a way that we think is best for us and nobody else.<\/p>\n
However, a woman who was seen on tape pulling her kid through an airport while wearing a leash was perceived by some as going too far.<\/p>\n
When TikToker @cacadoodledoo83 (Erica Shupe Hall) posted the video of herself leaving Cancun, Mexico\u2019s airport with the caption \u201cLeaving Cancun is tough\u2026,\u201d it ignited a heated discussion.I understand, my friend.<\/p>\n
The video received a great deal of attention right once, with millions of views and a plethora of divergent comments.<\/p>\n
It looked like the woman in the video was trying to get her child to follow her. When the child flattened on the ground and refused to move, she began to pull him over the carpet with a leash fastened to a harness around his body.<\/p>\n
A veritable conflagration of viewpoints surfaced in the comments area.
\nI couldn\u2019t bring my kid onto the unclean floor because of my OCD. I suppose I\u2019m weird, but I\u2019d rather pick him up,\u201d Delicia, one commenter, commented.<\/p>\n
\u201cA terrible parent. Another person said, \u201cThat is child abuse,\u201d JennyLisg.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just carry mine at that point,\u201d a third person wrote. I refuse to lug them across that unclean floor.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think there\u2019s a difference between using a harness for your child\u2019s safety and dragging them on the ground,\u201d remarked a fourth. I would never harm my dog in the same way that I would never harm my child.<\/p>\n
Although many people objected to the mother\u2019s strategies, others sprang to her support.<\/p>\n
Sophia, one viewer, said, \u201cLmao! Mama, do what you have to do.<\/p>\n
One more person stated: \u201cI\u2019m not saying it\u2019s right. I\u2019m expressing that I get it! Show me a flawless parent who has never erred in judgment or who hasn\u2019t taken all necessary precautions to get by each day.<\/p>\n
Shimona Jade Kennett continued, saying, \u201cI don\u2019t see any problems with that. She could have carried him, too, but he appears content to be tugged along. The child would have been creating a scene if he had been [distressed].<\/p>\n
\u201cI had a harness and leash for my five kids,\u201d a fourth commenter said. I never misplaced them. They never suffered any harm. They enjoyed their liberty and feeling protected without needing to grasp my hand. Although I don\u2019t remember ever needing to drag them in this manner, I can see how it would occur.<\/p>\n
While most people can agree that wearing a leash and harness to keep your child safe and reduce the likelihood that they will get lost tends to be a contentious topic among parents when it comes to using them first.<\/p>\n
