He said the body has been transported to the legal medicine authorities in Medell\u00edn for identification.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Mayor Federico Guti\u00e9rrez said he personally informed Molina\u2019s father, who is currently in Medell\u00edn, of the discovery, and he has notified both the U.S. ambassador to Colombia and the Consul General about the case.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"max-md:faux-bleed mb-4 bg-marshmallow pb-5 dark:bg-ramones md:invisible md:mb-0 md:h-0 md:overflow-hidden md:pb-0\">\n<div class=\"py-2 text-center text-xs uppercase\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-nowrap justify-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.yimg.com\/ny\/api\/res\/1.2\/krKk0kxozkp4soGAQgCKWQ--\/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTE1MDA7aD04NDQ7Y2Y9d2VicA--\/https:\/\/media.zenfs.com\/en\/khou_tegna_articles_146\/979f5f1410b872d0decae9750cd61ce9\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWe express our solidarity to his family and friends,\u201d the mayor said in a statement. He goes on to say that Colombian police and prosecutors would \u201chave very clear leads on those responsible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He also said extradition could be sought for anyone implicated in Molina\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cLet justice be done,\u201d the mayor said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Molina had been missing for five days after going out with a co-worker last weekend in Medell\u00edn\u2019s popular El Poblado district. Friends said the two were seen leaving a nightclub with another man, whom authorities said at the time they believed may have been involved in his disappearance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Investigators suspect Molina may have been drugged after his co-worker was later found disoriented.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He was last heard from that night, and when he failed to report for duty the next day, friends immediately grew concerned.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"sFlh5c FyHeAf iPVvYb\" src=\"https:\/\/images.foxtv.com\/static.fox4news.com\/www.fox4news.com\/content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1200\/630\/img_4025-e1774648323926.jpg?ve=1&amp;tl=1\" alt=\"Dallas-based American Airlines flight attendant found dead in Colombia |  FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cHe is always communicating, either with me, his family, his friends.
