The 51-year-old shared that the father of four was the one \u201cWho brings the joy to the mornings and who, like Robin [Roberts], witnessed a personal battle within his own family \u2013 Isabella \u2013 these last couple of years.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cI know it\u2019s a difficult choice whether or not to share that with the audience, but Michael, please know that we were all inspired by how you handled that not only as a father, but as one of the hosts on Good Morning America \u2013 that balance of bringing the audience in.\u201d<\/p>\n
