Newly declassified FBI interview records have revived allegations that Senator Adam Schiff authorized the leaking of classified information during the height of the Trump\u2013Russia investigation.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0document<\/a>s obtained by Just The News, an unidentified whistleblower \u2014 described as a Democratic intelligence officer who worked for the House Intelligence Committee \u2014 repeatedly told the FBI between 2017 and 2023 that Schiff approved leaks of classified material in an effort to politically damage then-President Donald Trump. At the time, Schiff was the ranking House Democrat on the committee and later became its chairman.<\/p>\n

The whistleblower alleged that Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California was likely the direct source of the leaks, which they said were aimed at advancing the so-called \u201cRussiagate\u201d narrative.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen working in this capacity, [redacted staffer\u2019s name] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF,\u201d one FBI interview summary states. \u201cIn this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swalwell has denied any such implication and cast aspersions at FBI Director Kash Patel.<\/p>\n
