Salvadoran Migrant Arrested in Baltimore Amid Threat of Uganda Deportation<\/h1>\n

BALTIMORE, Md.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Salvadoran migrant\u00a0Kilmar Abrego Garcia<\/strong>\u00a0was arrested Monday morning by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after arriving for a routine check-in at the Baltimore field office. Officials plan to begin removal proceedings that could deport him to a third country, possibly Uganda.<\/p>\n

Lawyers Challenge Detention<\/h2>\n

Outside the ICE office, Abrego Garcia\u2019s attorney,\u00a0Simon Sandoval-Moshenberg<\/strong>, told reporters that ICE refused to disclose his detention location or the reason for his arrest. Officials also denied his lawyers any paperwork related to his removal.<\/p>\n
