That was just one of many heartfelt moments during McGraw\u2019s return to the stage following a string of serious surgeries\u2014including back and knee procedures. At 58, the country music icon headlined the final night of Nashville\u2019s first-ever rodeo and concert series, joining forces with Reba McEntire and Jelly Roll for a three-day celebration of music, family, and rodeo grit.<\/p>\n

McGraw hit the stage at 9:35PM with the rowdy crowd-pleaser \u201cTruck Yeah,\u201d setting the tone for a 90-minute set that featured hit after hit\u2014from \u201cI Like It, I Love It\u201d to \u201cPaper Umbrellas.\u201d Backed by his longtime band, The Dancehall Doctors, he delivered the kind of high-energy show that\u2019s earned him decades of country stardom.<\/p>\n

He took a moment to acknowledge those who made the event possible. \u201cGive it up for Miss Reba, Mr. Jelly Roll, and my boys,\u201d he said. \u201cBig hand for the cowboys and cowgirls\u2014it wouldn\u2019t be a show without those guys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among the highlights was the live debut of a new, unreleased track titled \u201cKing Rodeo,\u201d which McGraw introduced as \u201cappropriate for the night.\u201d Lit by a single spotlight, the performance was a glimpse at his upcoming album, the follow-up to Standing Room Only.<\/p>\n

But the most emotional moment came when McGraw brought his three daughters\u2014Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey\u2014onstage to sing the final chorus of \u201cLast Dollar (Fly Away).\u201d They were joined by Byron Gallimore\u2019s daughters, who also sang on the original recording as children. \u201cThey\u2019re all grown up now! My girls!\u201d McGraw said, pulling them into a warm group hug as the audience erupted.<\/p>\n

The show also featured a touching tribute to his wife, Faith Hill, during a performance of \u201cBad Habit,\u201d with decades\u2019 worth of personal videos and moments playing behind him. \u201cWoah, I\u2019m a lucky man!\u201d he shouted mid-song, a nod to their enduring love story.<\/p>\n

Before his encore, McGraw honored his role as James Dutton in 1883 with a dramatic montage of scenes featuring him and Hill. He returned to the stage with moving performances of \u201cThe Cowboy In Me,\u201d \u201cHumble And Kind,\u201d and \u201cWhere The Green Grass Grows,\u201d before closing the night with a powerful, crowd-wide singalong of \u201cLive Like You Were Dying.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Music City Rodeo itself was a milestone for Nashville. Created by Pat Humes and Brian Kaplan\u2014McGraw\u2019s Down Home co-founder\u2014the event marked the first time a full-scale PRCA-sanctioned rodeo was held in the city. Each night featured pro rodeo events like bull riding and barrel racing, with more than $200,000 in prize money and a festival atmosphere complete with rodeo queens, clowns, and mutton bustin\u2019.<\/p>\n

McGraw, Reba, and Jelly Roll aren\u2019t just performers\u2014they\u2019re the founding members of what promises to become an annual Nashville tradition.
