RED BANK, NEW JERSEY: Former President Barack Obama has expressed his frustration with disillusioned Democrats who are \u201cwhining\u201d like infants.<\/p>\n

The 63-year-old ex-president recently took the opportunity to provide straightforward counsel to his fellow Democrats, urging them to \u201ctoughen up\u201d and start taking action to \u201cdefend the principles that you believe in.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe it will necessitate a bit less introspection and a bit less complaining and adopting a fetal position. It will require Democrats to simply toughen up,\u201d Obama stated during a fundraising event hosted by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and his spouse, Tammy Murphy, at their residence in Red Bank, New Jersey, on Friday, July 11.<\/p>\n

He also urged the prominent figures to defend \u201cfree speech when it\u2019s challenging.\u201d \u201cWhen someone expresses an opinion that you disagree with, you should still assert, \u2018You know what, that individual has the right to express themselves,\u2019\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n

In addressing the absence of decisive leadership within the party, Obama even implored Democrats to \u201ccease searching for a messiah\u201d and to recognize the \u201cexcellent candidates currently running for office.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 44th president further contended that the forthcoming off-year elections in New Jersey and Virginia, widely regarded as indicators for the midterms, could offer \u201ca significant boost for our future direction.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not interested in your ideology, as it does not contribute to building anything. It is irrelevant,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
