His family told the news source that they are \u201cshattered\u201d and \u201cheartbroken\u201d by his sudden death\u2026.<\/p>\n
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the Fulton County Medical Examiner has set a date for tomorrow for an autopsy. The cause of Quan\u2019s death is still unknown.<\/p>\n
Boosie Badazz, a famous Atlanta rapper, shared the news of the rapper\u2019s death on X, which used to be Twitter, on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The rapper from Wipe Me Down remembered saying, \u201cJUST TALK TO WUAN THE OTHER DAY.\u201d<\/p>\n
The podcast No Jumper shared Boosie\u2019s tweet again, and fans left lots of heartfelt comments for the rapper.<\/p>\n
\u201cMan hell nah this can\u2019t be true,\u201d said one fan on Twitter.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel so sad about this. \u201cCan\u2019t be real,\u201d said someone else, shocked.<\/p>\n
R&B singer Jacquees, who worked with Rich Homie Quan a lot, sent his condolences on Twitter, writing, \u201cRest in Peace my brother Rich Homie Quan.\u201d I will always love you. \u201cRich Gang.\u201d\u201d<\/p>\n
A friend of rapper Richard Stark wrote on Instagram Story, \u201cI\u2019m devastated,\u201d after hearing about Quan\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
The rise of Rich Homie Quan<\/p>\n
In 2011, Rich Homie Quan started his career. But it wasn\u2019t until 2013 that his single \u201cType of Way,\u201d which peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, became a big hit with the public.<\/p>\n
At number 26 on the charts, his 2015 single Flex did even better.<\/p>\n
Along with fellow Atlanta rapper Young Thug, Quan was part of Cash Money Records\u2019 spin-off project Rich Gang. Their 2014 single \u201cLifestyle\u201d was an early hit.<\/p>\n
They also worked together on the club hit \u201cTell Em\u201d that same year and on \u201cUp, Up & Away\u201d the following year.<\/p>\n
Rich Homie Quan was brought up in Young Thug\u2019s ongoing criminal trial on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The rapper Gang Up is going to jail soon because he broke Georgia\u2019s RICO law and committed several violent crimes.<\/p>\n
Hip-hop artist YSL Woody tried to ask Young Thug if he had a problem with Quan while he was testifying.<\/p>\n
It was said that Young Thug laughed back.<\/p>\n

Recently, Quan talked about the breakup of the Rich Gang group and his relationship with Young Thug on a number of podcasts, such as No Jumper and VladTV.<\/p>\n
He did say that Young Thug\u2019s involvement in street activity was more common than what he liked, but he stayed mum about the claims against his former groupmate.<\/p>\n
\u201cS**t was getting a little too street from me,\u201d he told No Jumper host Adam Grandmaison, better known as Adam22.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wasn\u2019t raised in a certain way\u2014that stuff doesn\u2019t even fit with my morals as a man,\u201d Quan said.<\/p>\n
Quan has four sons. Devin, his oldest, was born in 2006 and is the oldest.<\/p>\n
The rapper didn\u2019t find out about Devin until five years after the birth of his son.<\/p>\n
