While driving home on Pershing Avenue, Mya was speaking to her mother when her car was caught in the storm\u2019s path.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\"><\/div>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-13533\" src=\"https:\/\/currentnews-foryou.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-377.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe car started spinning in circles. I held on for dear life, praying and screaming \u2018Jesus,\u2019\u201d she recalled. The windshield shattered, and she was\u00a0<strong>flung 40 yards down the road<\/strong>\u00a0near Union and Washington.<\/p>\n<p>Before the storm hit, her father had warned her to get home quickly. As the weather worsened, she called her mother, who described the horrifying call: \u201cShe said, \u2018It\u2019s taking me,\u2019 and then the phone disconnected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite her injuries, Mya crawled to a light pole and flagged down an ambulance. I\u2019m not lucky, I\u2019m BLESSED. GOD KEPT ME.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also urged others to seek faith:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease, get right with God.
