Sir Jim Ratcliffe ‘raised the prospect’ of Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos providing funds before he bought his Manchester United shares.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ratcliffe agreed to pay \u00a31.2 billion for a 27.7 per cent stake in December last year before the deal was completed at the start of this year.<\/p>\n

He has since increased his shareholding in\u00a0Man United<\/a>, having paid around \u00a379 million for another 1.24 per cent of the club.<\/p>\n
